Casa Colombo's Architect
Honoring the Life and Work of James V Richardi

Richardi_photo cc architect.jpeg

Robert Richardi, an architect currently residing in Upper Saddle River, New Jersey, entered our gallery one late summer afternoon with his wife Elaina, excited to explore the space. He is the grandson of James V Richardi.

Our building, built in 1936, is one of the few standing examples of an award-winning design that Mr. James V. Richardi brought to Jersey City in the first half of the 20th century. We are honored to be part of such a rich, living legacy.

We look forward to welcoming you to our Heritage Hall soon to experience these incredible artifacts firsthand. An inaugural reception honoring Richardi's contributions will be announced to the public shortly.

Now on loan within our Italian Heritage Hall, courtesy of Mr. Robert Richardi, are the personal effects, tools and career achievements of Italian- American James V. Richardi - architect of our Casa Colombo building.
