Jacqueline Firmo Falconi

Originally from the French Antilles, Jacqueline Firmo Falconi is a French/Italian/American Artist who grew up in Paris, France where she graduated in literature and foreign languages at the Sorbonne University. She later attended the National Academy of Fine Arts in Manhattan. She did several exhibitions, mainly in Rome, Italy, and the USA.

"My work is inspired by my mixed origins, my numerous journeys around the world since infancy and the contact with different cultures. I feel the need to communicate to the viewers my various experiences, through my paintings. That is why, to better express myself, I paint different subjects: landscapes, flowers, people, animals, still lifes, etc. different styles and techniques as well: figurative, semi abstract, abstract...I paint with oil on canvas, using brushes and palette knives, to accentuate the sense of sculptural relief."

“I like to play with colors, shapes, and light. My last works are more dedicated to positivity and hope because of nowadays people's weariness: semi abstract industrial steel skyscrapers contrasting with figurative, organic flowers. Those flowers representing peaceful oases of serenity. My goal is to contribute to make people "smell my flowers" smile, laugh, dream, and hope.”
